Disclosure Policy

In an effort to comply with the FTC guidelines regulating bloggers, influencers, and other people who make money online, here is my disclosure policy that is valid from the 27th of May 2018 forward. This blog is a personal blog written and edited by Aaren Prody. For questions about this blog, please email Contact at What Do You Sea dot com.

What Do You Sea, when I get ever so fortunate, accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions, or other forms of compensation. I will also happily accept payment in the form of travel, food, hiking gear, or coffee.

A nice chunk of the blog posts on What Do You Sea contains affiliate links. If you fall in love with any product I recommend in these posts and decide to purchase it through my link, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Sounds like a win-win, am I right? I get a lil somethin’-somethin’ for my recommendation and you get an amazing product that you’ll cherish for life.

What Do You Sea abides by word of mouth marketing standards. I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion, and identity. The compensation I receive (i.e. travel, coffee, gear, etc) may influence the advertising content, topics, or posts made in this blog. However, that content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content.

Even though I may receive compensation for my posts or advertisements, I always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on What Do You Sea and its social media channels are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote, or other representation related to a product, brand or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.
